Forbidden Secrets
Hiding from reality
Dodging the factuality
That not speaking up doesn't make the situation go away
The mind knows well what the lips won't say
I'm running from the truth
Forbidden secrets, Forbidden Fruit
My past has become a wound that I can't mend
Just like I rember that time when...
Shhhsh. I'm not supposed to tell, no one is supposed to know
What goes on in the dark is never supposed to show
But it keeps playing over and over in my mind like a broken videotape
Everytime I press fast forward, someone else presses replay
I'm trying to hide from the truth
Forbidden secrets, Forbidden fruit
I don't chase the past the past chases me
I don't hold it in my grasp It holds on to me
And it eats away at the very thing that my lips won't say
The images, the actions, the words, the smell
The faint shalolow voice whispering don't tell
And I don't tell
Because
I'm hiding from reality
Dodging the factuality
That not speaking up doesn't make the situation go away
The mind knows well what the lips won't say
And that's forbidden secrets
