Forbid hate not love, let love bloom, real love is rare~ Deterred love often has tragic consequences. Love which is not pure will reveal its deception in time. When the one you love isn’t in love with you, plead your case to Cupid, nowhere to be found your love arrow is wiley -n- illusive Cupid. —I Am Anaya Forbidden love -n- deadly finales, Cupid’s tragic legacy An altering agonizing fate, a lovers tale the soul it'll violate Romeo -n- Juliet had pure love, pure ecstasy Forbidden love -n- deadly finales, Cupid’s tragic legacy Samson’s lust -n- Delilah’s betrayal bribed from jealousy Secrets unfurled delayed, poison secures not heaven’s gate Forbidden love -n- deadly finales, Cupid’s tragic legacy An altering agonizing fate, a lovers tale the soul it'll violate

The phrase Forbidden Love should be considered a contradiction in terms, an oxymoron. Good God how can love ever be forbidden? My best, R.G.

Let him who is without sin throw the first stone. All accusers left. So must we.

We should heed what Jesus tells us.

I’m sure we’ve all had thoughts of forbidden love, truth be told Anaya! I don’t believe it’s a sin being human; crossing the line is somewhat different and dangerous, more often than not leads to tragedy, as your wonderful triolet expresses, all the best for contest, cheers David

Cheers David, I found that forbidden love is easy to play with, the form made it that much easier, since the repeat of lines! hee hee. But there are many more forbidden loves I didn't even touch on, oh yeah. Until recently LBGQ love was considered sinful even in our so-called enlightened society. I endorse love in whatever form or direction it takes, although a straight woman. Thank you!

So many classic tragic romances. I thought of Tristan and Isolde too. Antony and Cleopatra. It goes on. Cupid has the right intentions, but sometimes it just ain't meant to be. Nice one Anaya

So well done Anaya. You have run through the whole gambit of love types, in one beautiful Triolet. Forbidden, pure and true, Lust and love built on jealousy. Superb writing, BOL in the contest. Your poem exudes emotion, as you linger from one example to another. Best wishes from Wen

I chose the Triolet, in an any form contest. The triolet makes life much easier, repeat a total of three lines, more time to clean the toilet! haha. It was an opportunity to showcase what I truly feel about the subject: Love in a quote. Thank you, Wen!

Gosh, dear Anaya, this poem is breathtaking! What an impeccable creativity you've intricately painted in your lines, with the reference of 'Romeo and Juliet' along with 'Samson and Delilah' absolutely a clever idea.. Also, the repetition of Cupid, wowww!! This poem is like an artwork, every line explores the vivid realms of love, where tragedy, forbidden emotions and unrequited feelings, waltz in dark atmosphere..Just so brilliant this is! Sending best wishes and light, good luck for the contest

Hey Hiya, I almost did it in audio with my American accent, ha. Maybe a Valentine's poem, Wednesday. Try the Triolet you'll want to use it more often, like I do. Thank you, dearest Hiya, I always enjoy your comments and wishes;)

Sad, but true, forbidden love leads to deadly finales. I completely agree with this part in your note: ' real love is rare. ' You've expressed this so beautifully, my dear sweet friend. The Romeo and Juliet, along with Samson and Delilah comparison fits perfectly. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy

Dear Anaya, Your poem packs a powerful punch! Your insightful lyrics create cautionary tales, urging to nurture "real love" and steer clear of "deception." The tragic echoes of Romeo & Juliet & Samson & Delilah shout stark warnings. Yet, the hopeful plea to Cupid lingers, leaving a question open: what if even true love faces forbidden walls? Perhaps a future poem will explore that nuance. Loved Your Poem! -Blessings, Daniel
