I wrrote these lyrics sitting on the mountains within the 'Ring Of Kerry' in Eire. Looking at the beautiful and peaceful scenery I started to think that it would be a great place to heal emotionally and so another song was born. I hope that you enjoy reading. It does have a melody but has never been recorded with music. Just sung acapella.

Steep are the crags of the Macgillicuddy Mountains, Steep are the mountains that slope down to the sea. Deep are the streams and the fast flowing rivers, Deep are the feelings that are stirring in me. I look across the picturesque valleys, I watch the birds fly, swoop and dive. I now realise that we are really over, For the first time for a long time, I feel so alive. I have been hoping and clinging to a memory Of a love that just didn’t last. But now I accept that it's over and done, It’s behind me and I’ve left it in the past. I’ve come home to Kerry, to Kerry's mountains, To the place where I was born. My spirits are restored and I am healing, My heart is no longer broken and torn. I feel like I did back in my childhood, Again I feel happy and truly free Everyday is a new beginning, An excitement is building up in me. Steep are the crags of the Macgillicuddy Mountains, Steep are the mountains that slope down to the sea. Deep are the streams and the fast flowing rivers, Deep are the feelings that are stirring in me. I look across the picturesque valleys, I watch the birds fly swoop and dive. I now realise that we are really over, For the first time for a long time, I feel so alive. For the first time for a long time, I feel so alive.
