For the Camera

Her skin was as soft as satin
Hair cascading like gold ribbons
Nails long and polished
Clothes expensive and flawless
They called her stunning
Called her brilliant
But deep inside herself
She knew that behind the makeup
The clothes
The Beauty
She always faked a smile
For the camera
