For Safe Dreams

Silently dreaming of himself asleep
A cat naps safely in a bed
For neither fear nor worries creep
In peace he rests his tiny head

A cat naps safely in a bed
Beside my son in silent bliss
In peace he rests his tiny head
Upon the waves of the abyss

Beside my son in silent bliss
I battle monsters he won't know
Upon the waves of the abyss
It's I who walks where shadows go

I battle monsters he won't know
For neither fear nor worries creep
It's I who walks where shadows go
Silently dreaming of himself asleep
