For Now I Bid Farewell My Friend

I didn't want today to end
I was having so much fun
So I jumped right up to Heaven
I grabbed a hold of that sun

So warm was it's embrace
As I played and laughed and ran
Making me so full of energy
Never stopping was my plan

But like all good things
It had to come to an end
So for now we'll bid farewell
And I'll rest my weary head

When morning comes tomorrow
She'll come again to play
Peeking through my curtains
Bringing with her another fun filled day
