For my Daddy
The day I'll never forget back to heaven you were sent.
Counting days and counting down time every day that certain day weighs heavily on my mind.
Each day that I have spent drowning in rivers of only ifs,
I see these images in my mind that roughins the edges and then leaves me crying.
Down my cheek they soon went, oh the countless hours that I have spent.
Every word you ever spoke especially the ones that gave me hope,
ringing loud in my ear are each word you spoke that was sincere.
Time and time again you would say "get off the dope baby that s*** don't pay" "you're going to regret this one day" Right down to every expression on your face, when you were proud, when you were hurt, when we'd go driving on the outskirts.
Whether it was a lesson or advice you was a hard-working father always willing to sacrifice everything you had and always sufficed.
Regret hasn't been for only one day but for days and many years to come since you've been away.
It's like I'm paying the ultimate price oh how I'm desperately needing and seeking for your advice.
Words can never truly explain the misery nor the pain, from this year of grief and dismay, it feels like a lifetime that you've gone away
