For Me and Mine
This is to me,
This is for me,
For me and I only,
Many turbulence days I have seen,
Many meandering roads I have walked,
I have been in the tempest of life,
Life's billows have compassed me,
I have walked on roads
fraught with thorns and thistles,
I write this,
A birthday poem,
A piece for me,
Celebrating self,
Grateful for the resilience,
Thankful to my loved ones,
In appreciation to my parents,
All my years gone,
I thank my Father,
All my years ahead,
I don’t know how long,
I commit into His hands.
To take the wheels.
