Cool one, Russell. I love finding these. I never heard the one about the penny being heads up. I just always heard: See a penny pick it up, the rest of the day you'll have good luck. See a penny, let it lay. bad luck you'll have the rest of the day! (you should see all the pennies I collect in my purse thanks to that rhyme my mom taught me)
