For Later....

The clock
continues to spin
we sit here
with our poems, our wine, our dreams
      trying to make sense
of it all
The years pass by in a flash
  During the short time
we are here
we seek truth
But truth fades
      like the sun
before it sinks in
the evening
    one sweet song
is all we really need
  Lift your voice
 and perhaps you will
   be heard
    someone may be
 listening
        for all we know
and if you feel
  a certain trembling
           inside
Then save your awe for later
   when the sun is
eclipsed by
    the bright, bright
  moon
and stars glow
lighting up the darkness
       leaving us to
gaze up
      in wonder
at the vastness of
    creation
