Notes About The Poem

For Jacqueline

Jacqueline, Oh, just the other day I came across a picture of you with your horse, and I was amazed to see how much we look alike; Mom, could it be true that you are mere words upon cold stone, my quiet, beautiful and kind Jacqueline . . . It is unbelievable you left this world on Mother's Day, now, entangled, meshed, intertwined are our souls for eternity; the meaning of love and so much more is what you left with me, and I am so proud to be the daughter of one such as you . . . Mommy, not a day goes by that you are not in my heart, especially each Mother's Day, but every single moment of each day; and each time I ride my horse you are with me riding along side the wind in our hair and open meadows ahead of us . . . _________________________ March 14, 2015- Reprint 2021 "Mommy, I have things to tell you small things and big things, things only you will understand." Happy mother's day; this is an exquisite poem. So heart-touching... You're in the letters and every verse; you realize when it's our moms, the individuals Who paint the world a rainbow when it's loaded up with broken dreams, it's exceptionally pitiful and powerful she passed on Mother's Day, blessings, peace, and love
