For Jack and Rose

Not so long ago
just a few weeks
A ship called Titanic
Took five souls to the deep

It's death like a tentacles
with winding reach
Streached out to the future
with ancient call from the deep

Come sail the ocean
that magnificent sea
Dive deep below
in first class seats

Visit the graves
where men are not buried
Yet below the surface
a purpose was carried

Into eternity our God does send
a massive invitation
for hundreds to attend
For some was signaled
the end of the line
Yet others the priveledge
to fight or survive

The journeys unending quest for life
though more than a century
will not five suffice
The name Titanic deaths device
Unsinkable, a filthy lie

Some have told stories
about life so dear
Yet it's a soldiers life
against the sea so drear
And darkness awaits
with unseen fate
Where survival is needed
of unseen faith

The best that can happen
is a Jack and Rose
where one waits in heaven
and the other grows old

The untold disaster
of a beating heart
One soul living
the other to depart

The best thing to happen
is for a title to step in
A father, a mother,
a sister a best friend
Where one tries their best
and the others richly blessed
The very last chapter
ends with laughter
One soul living
and the other just beginning

Your important words in this fine poem ring out to me so clear. This dark world operates on evil and bad events. God bless...

Make no mistake, It was Titanic that brought them there. The Titan was just the name of the transport.

This thought touches my heart deeply. "where one waits in heaven and the other grows old." Your words hold meaning and truth. This is beautiful, tender and emotional, all at the same time. ~ Brandy
