For Every Heart

A silver tongue's intoxicating pitch; leaves you little time for contemplation. For whispered words, inevitably, switch from flattery to manipulation. To lessen the pain of rejection's sting: you have learned to control your emotions. And yet, to find love, you'll try anything: even crystal balls and magic potions. When trust dwindles, fantasy dreams fade out: leading to a predicted conclusion. For frustration often morphs into doubt: in a state of erratic confusion. You're looking to find a soulmate, someone: you can bond with and forever treasure. And share your dreams, as two morph into one: a merger of innocence and pleasure. For every heart, there is a counterpart: your soulmate's out there, waiting to be found. And when you meet, you'll know it from the start: for your pulse will throb, and your heart will pound.
