For Every, Each, and Always

For every time I have to walk away,
For every time I'm left behind,
For every time an outstretched arm just can't reach,
For each knowing glance we know we can't show,
For each starless, half-less night,
For each drawn out, angled silence,
Know my heart is worn on your sleeve,
Or lies in your pocket.
Write away the weakness of my name,
And sign me to yours.

A poem of uncompromising love and devotion. Strong phrasing and powerful emotion. You have the heart and soul of a true poet. This is EXCELLENT! :)

Early morning reading to get the mind buzzing. Thank you for sharing your excellent poetry Annie. Have a fabulous weekend and I hope to see more of your poetry when I get back to the Soup Monday. Usually pretty busy on the weekends with family so don't get to read much. Love, Carol
