For Decades

For decades I It’s been 3,650 days and counting Since I knew—yes I knew I’m carrying this feeling For you, only Y O U Yes it’s true I’ve changed a bit--by bit for standards I wanna meet though others doesn’t fit—I fit even fears I tried to beat. II But yet, striving not fair enough I wanna try another half But let me take a little break for more efforts I’ve to make. I Am now E q u I p p e d With a tip but not to rip a heart, Oh! the beating of the heart, never rested from the start. Always ready as I go Feeling tired—hell no! III In prayers I pray, Blessings For you all the way Unrequited love they say, Only a martyr can stay Kinda tough, though In my eyes, it won’t show IV ‘coz you’re my light—my guiding l I g h t A reason not to relinquish a fight. 3,650 days and counting A decade of hoping and waiting I’ve done so much so far—give me a clap Is it the time for me to stop? And just accept what’s true To stop this foolishness And start anew.
