For Decades

For decades

I

It’s been 3,650 days and counting
Since I knew—yes I knew
I’m carrying this feeling
For you, only
Y O U
Yes it’s true
I’ve changed a bit--by bit
for standards I wanna meet
though others doesn’t fit—I fit
even fears I tried to beat.

II

But yet,
striving
not fair enough
I wanna try another half
But let me take a little break
for more efforts I’ve to make.
I
Am now
E q u I p p e d
With a tip but not to rip
a heart, Oh! the beating of the heart,
never rested from the start.
Always ready as I go
Feeling tired—hell no!

III

In prayers
I pray,
Blessings
For you all the way
Unrequited love they say,
Only a martyr can stay
Kinda tough, though
In my eyes,
it won’t
show

IV

‘coz you’re
my light—my guiding
l I g h t
A reason not to
relinquish a fight.
3,650 days and counting
A decade of hoping and waiting
I’ve done so much so far—give me a clap
Is it the time for me to stop?
And just accept what’s true
To stop this foolishness
And start anew.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
