For As Long As I Can

For as long as I can dream,
Let me dream…
For as long as I can write,
Allow my words to come out right…
For as long as I can sing,
Let my songs sweetly ring…
For as long as I can teach, 
Then let me teach… and inspire,
That I may lift others higher…
As long as I can dance, 
Then please let me dance…
For as long as I can fish,
Let me fish and prepare a good dish…
For as long as I can sew,
Let my children be clothed…
For as long as I can love 
Lord, please let me love…
For as long as I can show compassion,
Let me share my soul’s compassion….
For as long as I can breathe,
Allow me to grow continually…
Re-educate my being
To comprehend what I am seeing ~
Of all good things, let me now sow and reap
For as long as I can… Let me live the dream
