FOR ANDREA (belated birthday wishes)

late
old friend
not so old
just fifty-five
fifty-five is young
and you so young at heart
i send this belated post
know your kindest heart will forgive
now go    have a good laugh    a good cry
may each day      one at a time      be happy

Back here revisiting "my poem!!!" About the etheree, it's funny, Daver. It took me weeks to adjust to those hard lenses. My eyes teared up daily. Ten years later when I had my first baby, my eye 'shape" changed. Once again, I was unable to wear hard contacts. THANK goodness for soft contacts. Otherwise, I'd be "four eyes" again, like in jr. high. haha. Luv, Andrea

sorry it took me so long to get over to see this today, Daver. I really appreciate you dong a poem like this. You know me so well, how I hate getting old! but yes, as Carolyn said below here.
