For a Season

FOR A SEASON

There is a reason
Why I met you
The universe sent
Me here to bless you

We met for a reason
Not for a lifetime
But only for a season

I came to teach you how
To dance in the rain

I came to help you say
Goodbye to the hurt and pain

I came to caress you
Like a summer breeze

I came to give you
What you need

I'm truly honored that I met you
Even if only for a short spell
And when the time comes
I will wish you well

Because it was our destiny
To meet for a reason
Not for a lifetime
But only for a season
