For a Moment

I wonder if for a moment
You can look into my eyes
See the love I have for you,
But the secrets I have to hide.  
I wonder if for a moment
You can feel what I can feel
And tell me if your heart can bear
To go through the hurt I must conceal.
I wonder if for a moment
You could hear what I can hear
And try to block out the noise
Of the chaos that makes me fear.
I wonder if for a moment
Your heart and mine can switch
And you can feel the brokenness
Of what it's like to not exist.
