Football Gear
Bill the buff and nerdy brave,
Was told the day was his to save
Alas, he wanted just to read
And from this horrid world be freed
The jocks and coach had cornered him
And forced him into football gear
And when his mother saw him there
She grinned to him from ear to ear
Burdened then by many eyes
Bill had nowhere to go
The pain Bill had was hid inside
And no-one was to know
Eventually it was too much
And Bill just had to leave
He left behind an empty shell
And no-one even grieved.
