Foot Prints In the Sand

The tides have risen past my lungs
the crash of the surf tosses my fears at your feet
you walk past my form each day
in and out, pacing a path in the sand looking at your feet
and my hair has tangled in the seaweed
washed up to fill the impression of your foot prints
