The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Foot In My Mouth

I have a serious problem.
Of this, I have no doubt.
When you’re near, I always manage
to put my foot in my mouth.

I don’t know what it is about you
that gets my tongue’s attention,
causing me to say all sorts of things
I really shouldn’t mention.

I try to control myself
and keep my words at bay.
Yet, I continue to insert my foot in my mouth,
night after night and day after day.

I should probably see a doctor,
who could give me a prescription,
one that would help me get over
this foot in mouth affliction.
