Foolish Heart

Thought I'd found my dream girl and felt like the king of the world
It meant everything to me, but was a fling to this girl
Gave her all my love and she wouldn't even give me her time
Welcome to this foolish heart of mine

I really thought one day you would be a wife to me
You preferred attention from a lot of men, than spending a life with me
I gave you my whole heart, but you preferred posting pics for likes and retweets
You hurt me a lot, but I thank you for the strength you provided to me

You said I was everything you wanted in a man
When you started falling, I helped you to stand
I gave you all of me, but you always expected more
I guess that means I was never yours

I'd say I hate you but that would be lie
I just don't like you much
I'd laugh it off even if I want to cry
Can't believe I thought I'd be the one to wife you up

My love and attention wasn't enough, you were posting half naked pics online
I guess your love wasn't deserving of mine
I don't mean that to sound cocky
But I'm glad you messed up and lost me

Alex Duffy April 15, 2017 at 2:56 PM Yeah we do, its something I've realised, we all go through different things, and when its time we realise where we went wrong/what we hope to fix etc, Mistakes get made but they're all lessons for us to grow

We all have to learn at different times, thank you, I have just done that thought I could receive mail tbh, I can now :)
