Food Is My Demon

Everyone has a demon to fear
And many are frightfully near

My demon does not inspire fright
In truth my demon inspires delight

No matter what time of day
And no matter what I have to pay

Sometimes my demon sizzles
And sometimes even drizzles

Sometimes my demon is coated in sauce
And other times found in frost

Sometimes my demon is sweet
And sometimes full of heat

But my demon is slowly killing me
Even if it's hard to see

My demon is food and I cannot deny
That it may well be why I die

Everyone has a demon to fear
And many are frightfully near

But if I must truly confide
My demon is digesting inside
