Food For Thought

In life many people will try to put you down,
sometimes, they will be direct but often sneaky.
Words are like weapons that leave deep scars on the soul,
these bullies in life just have one reason and goal;
to bring you down-  laughing at the spirit they stole.

I want you the think hard before you let them win,
don't give them power to ever control your life;
a bully is basically a coward- be strong.
Turn and face them and they will run away so fast,
and you can dwell in sweet tranquility at last;
there are many-   to friend, love in this world so vast.


I offer you food for thought-  just be you, okay,
don't ever let someone tell you what you should do;
what you should be thinking- how you should act ever,
and I am going to tell you something, listen.
Don't ever, ever become the thing that you hate,
yes, your pride will want to get even but please wait;
no matter what has been done, be a person great.
