In life many people will try to put you down, sometimes, they will be direct but often sneaky. Words are like weapons that leave deep scars on the soul, these bullies in life just have one reason and goal; to bring you down- laughing at the spirit they stole. I want you the think hard before you let them win, don't give them power to ever control your life; a bully is basically a coward- be strong. Turn and face them and they will run away so fast, and you can dwell in sweet tranquility at last; there are many- to friend, love in this world so vast. I offer you food for thought- just be you, okay, don't ever let someone tell you what you should do; what you should be thinking- how you should act ever, and I am going to tell you something, listen. gosh, dear heart, I was thinking his contest was just for one liners. I can't believe I did not pay attention. No wonder you got first place. All this great thought put into this one, and me, just doing a one liner. Good grief. Congrats on your very well deserved win.

Andrea, thanks for the congratulations, yes I put a lot of work into this poem, took me all day to do a draft, edit, edit and finally post, well of course as all his contests of late have been one liners it would be easy to assume that ~

WoW! BW, I don't know how I managed to miss this, but I'm glad I found this well written piece. The message of "It's okay to be me" spoke loud and clear. I like this kind of poem because it empowers, inspires, motivates, encourages and invigorates. I want you to know that these or more than words on a page. That have power to change someone's life. There will always be bullies and those who think they are right, hypocrites who like to point fingers... This is a very good poem that highlights all those points and the advice is very good... Rhymes and flows very good.. Congratulations on your first place in the contest..
