Fond Memories of the 80's

Looking back in time can be selective in comparison to the present.
It may be likened to a dripping faucet that has been finally fixed.
You only remember the relief of the silence.
But I believe not of my fond memories of the my beginning years of the 80's.
It was senior year of high school. And our unofficial class song may have been
Ain't no stopping us now.
It was when RunDMC came out with their light hearted, uncontroversial rap song.
It seemed people were more gracious, less stressed and kinder.
Maybe jobs for the young, inexperienced were more plentiful.
Fashion was with the Vanderbelts, Sassoon and other designer jeans on your
person.
Dance steps were your own originals mixed with the newest fads of course.
But all in all it was for me a softer decade. How was it for you?
