Following Footsteps
The skies are gray, since morning today
Snowbanks rising higher, in the way
Animals hiding, birds not around
The snow piles up without a sound
No sign of spring, but hope does remain
Changing of seasons, winter winds wane
As flowers bloom, memories will stay
Sparkling white snow on ground where it lay
Beauty blooms in every season
From this creation, that gives reason
For all that we may choose to create
Following footsteps to reach our fate
