He was born in poverty with nothing but His name.
And He arose in stature, by His works He grew in fame.
He gave freely of His gifts to everyone and all.
So, shouldn’t we in turn answer His call?

He lived His life for others, healed the sick with but a touch.
He gave us everything He had. He loved us all that much.
He forgave each one their sins and washed away their shame
So, shouldn’t we in turn all do the same?

He spoke of peace, respect, and love and all His words rang true.
He taught us by example. Yes, He showed what we should do.
He gave ‘til He had nothing left in trying to fill all needs,
So, shouldn’t we in turn go where he leads?

In the end He died for us. He offered up His soul.
Just how much He loves us, we will never fully know.
He gave His life upon the cross. He died and rose again,
So, shouldn’t we in turn all follow Him?
