- Fog Talk -

The fog
                                    sensed
                                    in a dumb
                                    lament song
                                    The silence
                                    pulsating in the air
                                    Rubbing his back
                                    toward the hill edge

                                    When the colors
                                    disappears quietly
                                    Loses the grip
                                    The anxiety that drills
                                    into the chest
                                    Heavy to move on
                                     - to look in
                                    in its own downfall
                                    ... acknowledge the feeling

There is something quite horrendous being caught in a thick fog. Decades ago I landed in a pea-souper. To this day I do not know how I got home. Totally disoriented.. Great poem...Delice

I think its always best to acknowledge the feeling rather then run away from it. You are so wise dear friend, may you have a blessed day, be good :)

Your sense of direction goes haywire and it can be frightening if you're driving. Tom

Hi Anne Lise, your artful poem, as usual, allows the reader to personally absorb, my favorite poetry...I allegorically interpret this myself as sunlit days decrease in duration here in Minnesota, clouds gloom over the horizon (tho it's wonderfully sunny t'day!) l tend to get a bit depressed, (knowing ice & cold are coming) & purposely use tools I've learned to snap out of it, like reaching out to friends, small acts of kindness, acceptance, myself & others... forgiveness, I could go on! james

I was in a fog once and I was afraid as I was driving on a high hill. I drove very slowly. You capture the idea of a fog very well.
