Notes About The Poem

for Nette Onclaud's Six And Seven Poetry Contest  / April 22, 2026

Fog In Those Eyes

Like crystal – that light shines flawlessly through -
were those eyes of yours - beautiful blue.
But now I visit you and see
from behind clouds you peer at me.
Oh, that I could pierce that haze,
restoring the radiance of your pellucid days.

Thanks. That word is very similar to lucid but when I saw it, I found it to be more representative of my meaning

Beautiful. Poignant and heart felt. I saw the same fog in my mother's eyes in her final days. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful piece. All the best to you, Andrea.
