Fog and Moonlight
I stood in the rain tonight,
close to the water''s edge.
Fog and moonlight,
cold, damp sand.
I stood in the night,
clinging and cool,
with long, shadowy
lamplight around me.
I dreamt of you,
miles to the west,
touched by a different sun,
and tasted the salt of waves,
loud and close.
I stood in the rain tonight,
and thought of you.
