Fog

The eerie fog enshrouded all. It conquered my vision, with it's menacing creep. It rolled in so dense, so self contained. My imagination, ran wildly in this thick mist. Just when, I though it abated It consumed me again. Gravitating me to the spot move I could not. Like a master of illusion Things appeared and disappeared from my sight. Moving slowly, catching glimpses as it opened a window for me.

I love this one, Phyllis - so atmospheric. I often miss contest results, but I hope this one was a winner if you wrote it for a comp.

Sounds like me trying to drive through an early morbing fog. Creep, creep, creep for fear of hitting something. God Bless, JB

Eerie, just like that fog, Phyllis. Did you just encounter a foggy day? Sorry about your sore throat. What a bummer. Hope everything else is going ok?

I like the air of mystery in the mist of fog, Phyllis. Especially love the last line because it's so hard to drive through fog. Have you ever read Carl Sandburg's poem "Fog"? Enjoyed your poem! Love, Carolyn (BTW - it appears this poem was posted three times -- probably when you were getting error messages from the Soup. They're so frustrating!)

Very nicely written, although I felt (at the very end) that it was not complete... but I liked it!
