Flying Time

Inside the plane we
sit
While many
passengers have a
fit
  
We cannot take off
and fly
Four hours later no
reason why

After hours of
roasting in this tin
We were about to
take that spin

Next we ran into a
storm front
Fasten your seat
belts bump to bump

Hot coffee decided
it would drop
But could not take a
bathroom stop

Next terminal came
into sight
Only to find we
missed our flight

Hi Miss Phyllis! I have truly missed you...This poem surely hits home with me as I just had to fly home from the other side of the US to an injured child...stitches and all. Everything you wrote of was a one point in my journey experienced! Oh my! To fly on the clouds of beauty only to be distracted with the irritations of the "tin can." Just and outstanding write. I wrote a poem called Clouds on the flight home...check it out if u have time. :)
