Flying Tabby Will Go To School
Flying Tabby was the only being in the sky
He was faster than lightning, and he did not even try!
I am super Tabby, he said with a smile in each eye.
He was so far up, he made airplanes sigh!
I am the best! He boasted, and he really thought it too.
He loved being up there, flying in soft clouds of light blue.
Flying Tabby was all that and much more, between me and you.
He was confident and self-assured, and he knew it too.
Along came a car and a mama cat disembarked with a shout.
Flying Tabby what do you think you are doing? What are you about?
Teacher Mr. Skinner is coming to dinner, and he thinks you’re a lout.
You missed algebra; you are in big trouble, little boy, without a doubt!
Flying Tabby came pitching down out of the sky and he fell on his bum.
Tigger said there was no school, he said, blaming it on a chum.
His mother said, "Get dressed, and come home right now, for dinner.
You will like math and going to school; I’m marrying Mr. Skinner.
