Flying High

wind in my hair
peering over the railing from above.
Watching cars come and go
With the flag flying high.
reminding me of my freedoms and dreams.
How men died for our country.
take a step closer to the edge
as your soul goes cold
and your heart crumbles to the ground
You wonder why stay around?
Why keep trying?
Your best isn't good enough
so why not end it now..

cory, reminds me of a dream...leaping over the edge....and falling to my death... glad it was only a dream... one cant survive on bravery alone... but, giving up is not the way we should roll...let them flags flys high....good poem...pd
