Fly Away

I check my mail and find that there is none,
I call you up but they say you are gone.
When will I ever find you,
should I stay or should I simply go?

I want to reach you but you shy away,
when I try to visit you say “No way!”
Can’t you tell me where I really stand,
cast the die that you hold in your hand.

Let me fly away if you don’t want me,
say what’s in your heart and don’t delay.
The clock ticks, I can’t waste my time
waiting for one who can’t be mine.

Let me fly away if you don’t want me,
say what’s in your mind and don’t delay.
I’m down on my knees, hear me please,
be fair, won’t you listen to my case.

When I drop by your house to say hello,
you won’t come out and why I’ll never know.
If you don’t care, tell me so,
can’t you speak to me and let it show?

You are a tease and I think you know that,
you play hard to get, you’re a nut!
Beware, foxy lady, I’ll get you yet,
when that happens you’ll surely regret.
