Flurries Dance

The wind picks up,
The snowflakes fall.
Winter isn't
Gone at all.

Flowers blooming
On the ground
Lie on a blanket
All around.

White is the ground
That was just green.
Snowfall creates
A winter scene.

Pussywillows hang
A heavy head.
White is the ground
And flower bed.

Trees are laden
With a layer of white.
A winter's tableau
On this snowy night.

Flurries dance
Across the sky
Letting us know
Winter's not gone by.

No, winter is still here for another four weeks. We received a reminder overnight in the amount of about five inches.
