Fluffy Cats
Fluffy cats frivolous
laying on best linen
faces oblivious
excessively grinning
Impudent sparrows
and chattering larks,
wooing old ladies
beyond in the park
Standing on limestone paths
Where nervous starling waits
Grabbing scraps from dishes
ballet on garden gates
Yawning pink palate
wet stabbing teeth.
Folks cannot pass them
but stroke on the street
But when night falls dark
and paws are licked clean
They enter town parks
While old ladies dream
