Flowers... Give me a welcoming smile In the morning And they widely smile At the whole human race just the same They wink as I approach... To marvel at them, to smell their fragrance Especially the chrysanthemums and peonies... They flirt with me, without shame And they do so with... The bumblebees and hummingbirds, too Their fragrance is seductive Each dawn, they dance in the breeze And their glee is palpable Date written and posted: 10/24/2016
