.Example for my contest

Flowers of beauty bloom blue and red Finally, winter's gone, good-bye Old Man Winter Ahh...the new warmth begins In the birth of spring, new life begins Violets are blue, roses are red they've made it through the chilling harsh winter Their thorns left lone all through the cold winter Still hanging strong as the new spring begins They grow new flowers of blue and red Flowers of blue and red bloom shortly after winter when spring begins

I find what you write in your poems so visibly true when we walk through our garden, especially after our first rains, and the flourish of color is starting to bud - really breath-taking. Well penned Charles, Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

It is amazing to me how flowers stay hidden, like everything else in winter. However, as soon as it is time for new life to begin. All is bright and colorful again. :) I love it. And, I love this poem. ~ Brandy
