Flowers beneath my feet rustle as I stand beside your name, their petals opening like small breaths from the earth that now holds you. I whisper your memory into the gentle breeze, feeling the years gather softly around us~ all the mornings we shared, all the evenings we folded into one another. The ground is gentle here, as if it remembers how you once held me, how your laughter warmed the rooms of our life. I let the blossoms brush my shoes, their colors muted, tender, like the last light of a long-loved day. Flowers beneath my feet, and still I feel you~ steady as ever, just beyond the veil of soil and time, your love rising through the quiet to meet me where I stand.
