Flowers and Light
We must always look for the good in the world,
The happiness and hope,
Like butterflies and flowers
Bowing down to no forceful wind,
Like balloons tied to a mast of strength.
For with light comes darkness,
Peace comes chaos,
And hope comes helplessness.
A daylight cycle of good and evil,
Forever turning in the dial of time.
Finding the good in ones world is the best talent,
For they see the darkness and smile
Waving it away with a flick of the wrist,
And staying in the light.
The shadows do not scare them,
Nor does the possibility of the end,
As they are in the light,
And they have embraced the hope it has provided.
As with darkness comes light,
Chaos comes peace,
and helplessness comes hope,
The dial turning again and again,
Over eons of time and reality.
Flowers dying only to rise once again,
Shining in the light,
And merely sleeping away in the darkness.
Calm dreams illuminate them,
And like flowers we sleep away the night,
Rising again when the light seeps in.
