Flowers
Flowers bloom precipitously to
Silence a corpse of ill-intent...
Bringing hope to all who suffered
Through winter's mad torment.
The snapdragon shows its passion
As the snow-drop leads the way.
The tulip mocks the melting snow
While the crocus has its day.
The daffodil waits for no one...
The pansy sets a wry bouquet.
The violet in spring will rise...
The rose will wait for May.
Revel now this feast of spring
And the bounty she provides
Knowing a vindictive winter salivates
As it waits to turn the tide.
The End
