Flowering Stars

Falling through the cobalt sky Trailing her glittering trail of tears She lands in a skipping skid Across a meadow in the highlands Dazed she lifts her starry head To see little blossoms of lavender Sprouting along her shinny trail All yearning their petals up to the sky Dipping their feet in the icy streams Their roots grow strong into the land Dainty on stems their heads nod Gazing back to home’s heavenly show Little shooting stars are summer blooms Bobbing in a breeze so carefree Keeping their feet in marshy greens Alpine dancers from the milky way

What a beautiful poem of transformation and rebirth, Jeanne. So creative - a unique view of the role of a falling star - not to fade away but to give birth to beauty looking back at her birthplace. Congratulations. A sparkling gem.
