Flower In My Heart

The sapling in you spreading the arm
skyward, grew by my pathway with charm,
I walked everyday casting a casual glance.
As in breeze of autumn I saw you dance
with spectral hues on you of the rising sun,
I felt an unknown pull of subtle attraction,
desire waited to take an adoring look awhile,
let the layers of ardour pile.

Spring came with show vibrant color,
the sapling bloomed with familiar flower.
My heart flew around on butterfly wing,
weaving tapestry of love, a splendored thing,
its motif was dormant in mind I didn’t know,
in patina of beauty I saw the cherished glow.
Torrent of emotion surged with fervent shower,
filled my heart as I placed the flower.

I love the last two lines, especially! Congratulations on your placement! Strange and wonderful how love grows on us from the almost invisible, to the can't-ignore, isn't it? Very nice!

The flower you described so beautifully is one I hated to see plucked, Subimal. Extraordinary writing throughout!
