Floating Snow
*
*
winter winds are blowing and
ice-bound trees are dripping crystalline
and falling snow is floating here and there
and everywhere
yet the birds still sing me melodies and
the snowflakes gather ... gather
so white and pristine
and linger on my tangled hair
and kiss my waiting ruby lips
oh a stillness wraps around me
like a warm fur lined cloak
and I do not feel the frigid cold
for nothing is more comforting to me
than walking in the new fallen white
feeling like a snow princess
for I was born in a wild snowstorm
and my affinity with snow
is evermore *
