Floating Bubble
Listen to poem:
Floating Bubble
David J Walker
I kissed the fingers that
Touched you
And tried to
remember
how they
Tasted
I’ve licked
my lips
A thousand
times
But can’t
remember
Your lipstick
Or the perfumed scent
Left below the ear
On your neck
Where you
Knew I would
Find it
Thankfully
I can only
remember you
as we were
trapped in
A time contained
In a floating bubble
