"So long and thanks for all the fish!" - Exiting dolphins' farewell message, translated by Douglas Adams.

Please do not pooh-pooh my monoku.  You might think my wordplay is rather fishy, but for all intensive porpoises I was simply angling to hook your interest and reel you in to my side of the shore.

I love a play on words when it comes to cetaceans ;-)

I'm done now.

Heh heh - great wordplay. With that monoku, Mark you have ‘reely’ tortoise lots. :) You hooked my interest with your long and winding rod. :) Cheers - Gary

Gary, your comment makes you dolphinitely the life of the party! And your phrase about how I have "'reely' tortoise lots" got me thinking about writing a turtle and tortoise poem. You know, like they're kind of the same, but not quite. Like the dolphin and the porpoise. See how my brain works? Cheers backatcha!
