Flights of Thought

upon arrival then
later departure
noticing my
doctor's
office
lobby
was
empty
but for
me and
his secretary
surely she wasn't
well
you know what i mean

was i the last
person on earth
not to be cured
lunar led
by meds
instead
of using more
drastic methods
like electro shock
therapy or not passing
up any bottle in front of me
as i started
humming something
orchestral

for all the scores
when watching
looney tunes
were
yes they
were profoundly
historical symphonies
or opera stuttered
by porky
or spit and
spattered
by daffy as they
drip from my cranium
then my nose

blowing
my brains
out on
a tissue
while
singing
those
we're
the
days

Also, I would like to give a kudos for Tom Waits, who as far as I know was the one that said, "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy " Brilliant

Thank you Maureen. This was a follow up to my psychiatrist appointment poem yesterday "that's life". Thanks for reading Maureen.
