Notes About The Poem

Author's Note: This Verse poem speaks to some of the aspects and possibilities that I have identified which may be part and parcel to the some of the human moments or fantasy situations that many of us might find ourselves in from time-to-time as each of us interact with our fellow human beings on daily basis. The key takeaways here, from my perspective, are: "A Soul's View of Our Earthly Life," and "Our Human Moments of Fear, Doubts, and Strife." Enjoy the read!! (Gary Bateman - June 6, 2023)

Flights of Human Fantasy

Flights of Human Fantasy

They come to each of us, at times, in our deep dreams.
And they speak to us of possibilities that address and
echo certain events and situations:
The Time,
The Place,
And the “If” and “When,”
And they give each of us, at times,
A “Soul’s View of Our Earthly Life,”
And what to do, what to dream of and hope for
As each of us seek to confront and to understand
Our Human Moments of fear, doubts, and strife.
And our conscious abilities to overcome them all.

That horse that I loved so much! .,had been given away to a farmer, still makes me tear upI boarded away to go to school.. the farmer probably didn't want him, so he sold him to a dog food or glue factory, he must have felt I'd abandoned him. No way was I going to load ,y troubles on his back. Same thing for Shane Cooper, I'd been hacked, without a computer, i couldn't reply to his Soupmail, he might have felt abandoned also(

Those dreams, at times an awakening. Possibly when we don't listen to our intuition, God finds another means to speak with us? Last dream I'd dreamed, had me crying for days, this was last week. Strange, I'd been with a friend, we were having lunch, a chestnut horse appeared, back towards me. I had had such a hose, 53 years ago. I patted his rump, then pulled out a carrot to feed. My friend said he'd come to find me....

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Dreams my grandmother always said was the opposite of what they were. Which I found out for most part is true. To overcome is a pleasure to succeed. Bless my friend

Great stuff here Gary. People ask themselves " Why am I here " Answer: To over come Fear, Doubts and Strife. Jesus said, And you shall know the truth, and the truth SHALL set you free.....free from those aforementioned. Thanks Gary
